2.5 – Rád – saying ‘I like to__________’
In order to say that you like doing something in Czech, you just add a form of rád in front of the conjugated verb. The form of rád that you use depends on the gender of the subject of the sentence, as in the chart below:

Rád zpívám. — I (m.) like to sing.
Ráda tančím . — I (f.) like to dance.
Rádi cestujete? — Do y’all like to travel?
Ráda spí. — She likes to sleep.
If you wish to say that don’t like, then use the forms nerad, etc. as in the chart below. Note that the vowel is shortened in the word here.

Nerada se učím. — I (f.) don’t like studying.
Nerad pracuju. — I (m.) don’t like working.
