If you want to say ‘at’ in Czech…

  • when we want to say ‘in’ we use the preposition v LOC
  • when we want to say ‘on’ we use the preposition na LOC
  • when we want to say ‘at’, Czech uses either v LOC or na LOC, depending largely on rules (see Prepositions v and na for further review of these prepositions and an explanation of the rules)
  • when we want to say ‘at a person’s place’, then we use the preposition u  GEN
