1.5 – Color Adjectives
The following adjectives in Czech are used to describe colors:

Note – when colors are listed in Czech, they are listed with the feminine ending -á. Why? It’s because of the word barva ‘color’…what gender is it?? It’s feminine, right? So all of these assume the word barva after them (i.e. zelená barva, červená barva, etc.).
As with adjectives we have already learned, you will need to pay attention to the gender of the noun and put on the correct adjective ending:
